Partial Bethlehem Train Derailment Captured In 'Beautiful' Series Of Photos

The partial train derailment in Bethlehem on Tuesday, Sept. 27 was captured in a stunning series of photos from Lehigh Valley With Love.

The derailment occurred near Riverside Dr. and W. 2nd St. around 8:20 p.m., Bethlehem Police said. Local traffic was not affected as Norfolk Southern arrived at the scene to assess damages.

Meanwhile, a series of photographs from Facebook blog Lehigh Valley With Love, which cites photographer Lucy Kwiatek  (Twitter user @MandHF), shows several images that may have changed some users’ perspectives on what initially seemed like an unfortunate incident.

“Beyond the derailment not being great, this is a beautiful photo,” a user commented on one of the images.

"Calendar submission!" wrote another user.

The album had garnered nearly 1,000 shares as of Wednesday, Sept. 28.
