Friends Pat Plumadore Arimborgo and Karen Lippin hung a homemade sign across the street from the Prospect Avenue entrance to show their appreciation.

"Thank you healthcare workers <3," it says. "You are heroes."

"Just thought this needed to be said," Lippin said. "Thank you Hackensack healthcare workers and all the Hackensack heroes."
