A six-year-old girl was struck by a vehicle outside a hospital in Newark on the evening of Thursday, Dec. 12, authorities said. At 7:17 p.m., police responded to Beth Israel Medical Center at Lyons Avenue and Maple Avenue after the girl was struck while crossing the street with her family outside the hospital, Newark Public Safety Director Emanuel Miranda said.
