James Martin Hayes, 75, Carlstadt Resident
CARLSTADT, N.J. -- James Martin Hayes, of Carlstadt, died on Thursday, March 9. He was 75.
Born in New York City, Hayes served in the U.S. Army. He was an accountant for 20 years, and he retired in 1992.
He is survived by his son, James Hayes, and his sisters, Margaret Lohsen and Joan Donner.
Visitation will be from 2-6 p.m. on Sunday, March 12, at the Kimak Funeral Home, 425 Broad St., in Carlstadt. The funeral service will be at 10:30 a.m. on Monday at the funeral home. Interment will be at Cypress Hills Cemetery, in Brooklyn.

LITTLE FERRY, N.J. -- Thomasina (Vivirito) Di Meglio, of Little Ferry, died on Thursday, March 9. She was 75.
Di Meglio was a parishioner of St. Margaret of Cortona Church, in Little Ferry, and she had worked for Sanyo, in Teterboro.
She is survived by her children, Deirdre Gallow and her husband Art, Jonathan and his wife Susan, and Anthony and his wife Dorothy, and grandchildren Julianne, Megan, Ryan, Kathryn, Vincent and Nicholas.

She is survived by her children, Dennis DeLorenzo, and Linda Scott and her husband Ken; grandchildren Michael Scott and his wife Colleen, and Zachary, Jake and Connor DeLorenzo; and great-granddaughter Emily.

BERGENFIELD, N.J. -- Robert E. Runckel, of Bergenfield, died on Wednesday, March 8. He was 67.
A Navy veteran of the Vietnam War, Runckel was a water serviceman for U.S. Filter, in East Rutherford. He was a member of the Bergenfield Senior Citizens.

FAIR LAWN, N.J. -- John "BeBe" Roka, of Fair Lawn, died on Thursday, March 9. He was 85.
Born in Pennsylvania and raised in Oradell, he resided in Paramus before moving to Fair Lawn over 25 years ago. An Army veteran of the Korean War, he served in the Army's Marksmanship Unit, where he received numerous commendations, including the Distinguished Rifleman badge, and won the National Individual Rifle Match.

Born in Cali, Colombia, Ariza immigrated to the United States in 1983, living in North Carolina and Little Ferry. She owned and operated Piedad Hair Studio, in Huntersville, North Carolina, and she was a parishioner of St. Francis of Assisi Church, in Hackensack.

Robert Mancuso, 85, Longtime River Edge Resident
RIVER EDGE, N.J. -- Robert Mancuso, a longtime resident of River Edge, died on Tuesday, March 7. He was 85.
Mancuso was a devoted member of St. Peter the Apostle Church for over 57 years. He was a proud member of the River Edge Police Reserve for over 40 years, where he served two terms as captain.
He also served as a court officer for the town. Before he retired, he worked for A&P for 43 years, as manager of the meat department and supervisor.
