The open practice is to celebrate Selection Sunday and the Fairleigh Dickinson men's basketball teams' trip to the 2016 NCAA Tournament.
Those in attendance can join the team as they watch the NCAA Tournament Selection Show which begins at 5:30 p.m. and airs live on CBS. FDU's NCAA Tournament opponent and destination will be announced during the show.
"Sunday will give our families, alums, fans and our entire University a great opportunity to experience this great achievement with our players," head coach Greg Herenda said on Thursday morning. "The practice will give everyone an inside look into our team and the selection show will be historic."
The Selection Show watch party will be held in the Stratis Lounge overlooking the arena, food and beverages will be served.
The Knights won the 2016 Northeast Conference Championship with an 87-79 victory over top-seeded Wagner on Tuesday, March 8.
The FDU men's basketball program has posted an 18-14 record this year with the 18 wins and 11 NEC wins sitting as the highest totals for the program since the 2005-06 season.
The second-seeded Knights won the NEC Championship by defeating #7 Saint Francis U (74-72) in the quarterfinals and #5 Mount St. Mary's (80-75) in the semifinals. Sophomore Earl Potts Jr. (Severn, Md./Archbishop Spalding ) was named the NEC Tournament Most Valuable Player and classmate Darian Anderson (Washington, D.C./St. John's College ) also earned a spot on the All-Tournament Team. Anderson and Potts were also named Second Team All-NEC following the season, with Potts also garnering NEC Most Improved Player honors. Freshman Mike Holloway (Pittsgrove, N.J./Arthur P. Schalick ) claimed a place on the NEC All-Rookie Team.
