This was the school's 11th Annual Pink Out, and organizers describe it as a huge success.
"The day brought awareness to a disease that has affected so many of lives, while also promoting school unity."
More than 800 people wore pink shirts this past Friday, and the school community raised over $900 during the two weeks leading up to the Pink Out.
Last year, students duct-taped a teacher to the wall to raise funds for the cause.
Students donated money by putting it in the respective jars of the teachers they most wanted to see wear the strange pink Morphsuits for the entire day of the Pink Out. Roman Litvak and Mike Mitchell "won" this honor.
"These men donated their dignity to help raise both money and awareness for this worthy cause," organizers noted.
A final element of the school's observation of Breast Cancer Awareness Month was its partnership with Moxie Blowdry & Beauty Bar of Ridgewood, owned by Christine Brenner. To raise additional money for breast cancer awareness, over 100 students and staff had pink hair extensions applied by Moxie during their lunch period on Thursday.
"In addition to a flurry of pink shirts, the school was filled with pink hair extensions and smiles," organizers noted.
