TEANECK, N.J. -- An across-the-board increase of 2 percent to salaries for non-union workers was tabled Tuesday after citizens and a councilman questioned the need, NorthJersey.com reported.
Councilman Jason Castle questioned the need for the increases, particularly for vacant positions, the story said.
Castle said he thinks the increases are “patently unfair to the taxpayer,” according to NorthJersey.com.
Two percent is the same increase union employees received, the story said.
