Lahullier Becomes Mayor In Carlstadt

CARLSTADT, N.J. -- Incumbent Republican Councilman Craig Lahullier defeated Democrat Police Lt. Walter Beese for mayor of Carlstadt on Tuesday, according to unofficial results from the Bergen County Board of Elections.

Lahullier, 61, who's been a councilman for 16 years and is president of L&L Mechanical, received 799 votes -- 57.65%.

Beese, 51, a former Board of Education member, got 586 -- 42.28%.
