TEANECK, N.J. — The Teaneck Fire Department responded to a false fire alarm at Amazing Savings on Cedar Lane Tuesday morning.
The alarm in the garage near the parking lot was set off by exhaust from a Gaeta Recycling truck that pulled in around 11 a.m., firefighters told Daily Voice on the scene.
"Something's not set up right," a firefighter said. "Whether they should move the detector or exhaust into a different spot [on the truck]."
One fire truck and one chief's vehicle responded to the scene, along with one police car.
The scene was cleared in less than 30 minutes.
