TEANECK, N.J. —Jose Mendoza, of Teaneck, died Aug. 21. He was 76.
Prior to retiring, he was a geophysics engineer working for Yacimientos Petrolíferos Fiscales Bolivianos in Bolivia.
He was the husband of 53 years to Celia (nee Nunez); father of Ivan Mendoza and his wife Cindy, Lourdes Portes and her husband Elizio, Eduardo Mendoza and Claudia DeAngelus and her husband Joseph; grandfather of Bryan, Joseph, Marie, Michael, Sebastian, Ethan, Julian and Stella; and brother of the late Maria Requena, Medardo Mendoza and Irene Mendoza.
A prayer service will be conducted at 8 p.m. Friday at the G. Thomas Gentile Funeral Service, 397 Union St., Hackensack. Cremation will be private. The family will receive friends from 7-9 p.m. Friday at the funeral home.
