TEANECK, N.J. -- Teaneck officials are considering a proposal that would reduce the health benefit waiver payout for employees who opt out of the healthcare program, according to NorthJersey.com.
Township Manager William Broughton proposed an ordinance that would reduce payouts from $400,000 to approximately $118,000. The waiver program has been under scrutiny since 2014 when an audit revealed it as an area the township needed to take corrective action on, NorthJersey.com reported.
