Born in Passaicon Nov.10, 1968, he grew up in Park Ridge and Woodcliff Lake. He's a 1986 graduate of Pascack Hills High School.

Papa began his comedy career in New York City in the early '90s. He met Jerry Seinfeld at the Comedy Cellar, and his career took off from there.

His comedy discusses adulthood, marriage and parenthood.

He's done three hour-long comedy specials -- "Human Mule," coming out this December; 2013's "Tom Papa: Freaked Out"; and 2011's "Tom Papa: Live in New York City."

Papa hosts a SiriusXM show, "Come to Papa," monthly, and he does a podcast of the same name weekly. His varied guests have included Mel Brooks, Ray Romano and, unsurprisingly, Seinfeld.

He also has an array of TV and film credits, including hosting two seasons of "The Marriage Ref," which Seinfeld co-created.
