BERGEN COUNTY, N.J. -- The Bergen County Utilities Authority is collecting hazardous waste.
Hazardous household waste can be brought to collection sites in Moonachie, Paramus and Mahwah.
Household hazardous waste collection sites are as follows:
- Paramus: Bergen Community College, 400 Paramus Road (Entry via Paramus Rd. only): Sunday, April 17, June 26, Oct. 16.
- Mahwah: Bergen County Campgaw Mountain Reservation, 200 Campgaw Road, Mahwah, Saturday, May 14, July 23, Sept. 10.
- Moonachie: Bergen County Utilities Authority (Foot of Empire Blvd.), Moonachie, Saturday, March 12, Nov. 12, ￼.
All collection sites are open at 9 a.m. and close at 3 p.m.
￼This is free of charge for Bergen County residents only; ID is required.
Businesses must pre-register prior to attending BCUA-sponsored hazardous waste collection events. A disposal fee will be charged and collected.
