"I nominated Joel Goldin because he has made significant contributions to the mission and operation of our club,” Teaneck Rotary president Tamarha Ellerbe told Daily Voice.

Goldin, a Brooklyn native and 30-year Bergen County resident, has demonstrated "Service Above Self" as an active member of the community, Ellerbe said.

He has done consulting for more than 6,500 families on elder care. In doing so, Goldin has helped hundreds of senior citizens and their families adjust to major changes such as entering retirement communities.

“I look at my role in assisting seniors as a social worker, a family member, a rabbi, a consultant," Goldin said, "an advisor with a whole host of responsibilities to these individuals and their families."

Goldin has served as the co-chairperson of the Taste of Teaneck event, one of the club's largest fundraisers, a trustee, and a member of the Chamber of Commerce.

“I’m proud to represent Heritage Pointe, a community that caters and is connected to seniors’ needs," he said.
