TEANECK, N.J. -- The Teaneck Section of the National Council of Jewish Women will discuss immigration detention at a Dec. 15 luncheon, “Lunch and Learn, Nourishing Hearts and Minds.”
Sally Pillay, an activist for immigration rights, is the presenter for the program, “Immigration Detention: Unjust and Immoral.” The goal is to give participants an understanding of immigration detention in New Jersey, and nationally, and will learn how to get involved.
The luncheon will be held in Temple Emeth, 1666 Windsor Rd., Teaneck at noon Dec. 15. Tickets are $18 for members and $23 for non members. For tickets, mail checks to Barbara Brill, 166 Cambridge Ave., Englewood, N.J.07631 by Dec. 9, or call (201) 385-4847.
