In that time, Vincent has recruited his wife, son-in-law, daughter and grandchildren to help out.
“I have been doing this all my life,” he said. “I learned to cook from my mother, Em.
“I cook here like I do at home,” Vincent said. “All of the food and ingredients we use here are the same we use at home. There is no difference.
“Everything is homemade, there is no frozen goods and everything is fresh every day.”
Vincent's was selected as a top finalist in Daily Voice's DVlicious Best Pizza in Bergen competition. Voting ends on Oct. 26.
“My boss took my here last year and I keep coming back,” said Andrew Dempaire of Cliffside Park. “I love the pizza. The crust is thin and perfect. I can’t explain it, it’s just good.”
Dempaire even brought his roommate to sample the pizza, increasing Vincent’s customer base by one.
The pizzeria offers toppings that include zucchini, peppers, eggplant, broccoli, sausage and pepperoni.
Vincent credits his ingredients to his success.
“We use tomatoes from Italy and the best mozzarella cheese in the country from Wisconsin,” Vincent said.
“It feels good to take care of people and make people happy,” Angelo said. “People move out but they keep coming back.”
