Born and raised in Raritan Township, Karpinski was known for her love of sports, particularly lacrosse. She played as goalie for the Hunterdon Central Red Devils as well as for the Triple Threat Elite Club Team, her obituary says.

Karpinski had a goal of playing D1 lacrosse while pursuing an exercise science degree. She wanted to become a professional athletic trainer, her memorial says.

Karpinski also played varsity field hockey while maintaining a 3.96 GPA and juggling many other extracurriculars. She was working on her Gold Award in Girl Scouts, served as a Connect Club Buddy at the HCRHS Connect Club and participated in Operation Smile, which provides assistance to students with disabilities.

“She was constantly inspiring other players and students to realize that no dream was out of reach and that they should always work hard and follow their heart to achieve their passions,” reads her obituary.

Karpinski is survived by her parents, Mike and Danielle; her brother, Brayden, her maternal grandmother, Mary Crisonino; her paternal grandparents, Dolly and Frank Karpinski; her aunt, Melissa Karpinski; her aunt, uncle and godparents, Michelle and Allen Nikles; as well as her dog, Baxter, and many extended family members and close friends.

Donations can be made in Karpinski’s name to St. Hubert’s Animal Welfare Center in Chatham Township.

“Though her story had many more chapters to be written, this kind, intelligent, humble, compassionate, driven, and genuine woman made an imprint on this world that will never, ever fade,” her memorial reads.
