WAYNE, N.J. -- Wayne Mayor Christopher P. Vergano was re-elected Tuesday.
Vergano, a Republican, garnered 60 percent of votes, to best Democratic challenger Raymond Egatz, who earned about 40 percent of votes, according to unofficial results from the Passaic County Clerk's Office.
Three republicans also won seats on the township council. Incumbent Joseph Schweighardt, as well as Jill Sasso and David Varano beat Democrats Susan Deile, James Durgana and Dianne Douthat.
