Edward Lawrence Jones walked out of his home around 8:30 a.m. Monday and into the arms of police whom he’d threatened to kill over the death of a man in custody last week, authorities confirmed.

He remained held Tuesday in the Passaic County Jail, charged with making terroristic threats and illegal weapons possession. He also was wanted on a warrant, city Police Director Jerry Speziale said.

Jones was angered over the death of Jameek Lowery, a paranoid man who died at St. Joseph’s Regional Medical Center last Monday after showing up at Paterson police headquarters in an agitated state.

“See that – officer of the law, officer of the law? I got a mother*****g gun,” he says in the first video posted above. “I’m gonna shoot y’all in the face.”

Jones then gives his address several times.

“Come get me. I double-dare ya,” he repeats over and again throughout the video.

“Y’think I’m playin’? I’m standing on 92 Carroll Street and I’ve got a gun in my pocket,” he says.

Jones dangles the weapon in front of the camera as he leaves his home, then repeats the threat several times as he walks down the street.

“Think that I’m having a psychotic break? Nah. Not at all,” he says. “I ain’t high, either. I’m sober as hell.”

Jones shows the gun again before putting it in his pocket.

“How about I walk down to the police station, shoot one of you mother*****s in the face?” he says.

“How about that, officers?” Jones says over and again. “Come on in. I’m right here.

“I want you to know I’m dead-ass serious, too,” he says. “I got sauce on the brain, you hear me? Sauce – murder.

“Come on. I’m waiting.”
