Two Charged After Teen Is Stabbed At Lirr Station

Two juveniles have been apprehended after a teen was slashed at an LIRR train station.

The incident happened on Friday, Jan. 17 at 3:40 p.m. in Manhasset, Nassau County Police said.

According to detectives, while attempting to purchase drugs from two juvenile subjects, ages 16 and 17, the victim, also 17, was assaulted by the 16-year-old with a knife, causing him to suffer severe lacerations to both of his hands, police said. 

The suspects then took $30 from the victim and left the scene. After 911 was contacted, the two suspects were located and placed under arrest. The victim was transported to an area hospital for treatment.

Both suspects were charged with first-degree assault and first-degree robbery. They were scheduled to respond to Family Court in Westbury on Saturday, Jan. 18.
