In one strike, narcotics detectives hit a notorious drug neighborhood -- Godwin Avenue and Auburn Street -- arresting several accused street dealers and buyers while seizing 155 heroin folds, along with 66 vials and four bags of crack, Police Director Jerry Speziale said.

Among those arrested were alleged dealers Derrick McGill, 39, of Paterson and Timothy Bowens, 27, of Hillburn, he said.

Police confiscated in nearly $1,000 in drug proceeds from them and accused dealer Rashone Clark, 27, of Paterson, the director said.

Among those arrested were three out-of-state residents who Speziale said were caught with more than 200 heroin folds in the 400 block of Park Avenue.

He identified them as Elizabeth Merchant, 26, and Victoria Norwich, 26, both of Liberty, NY, and Zachariah Mercer, 32, of Monticello, N.Y.

Meanwhile, a Rockland couple – Sara Qumbarei, 25, and Thomas O’Grady, 28, of Sloatsburg – were caught carrying 40 heroin folds in the 600 block of River Street.

In another raid, in the 300 block of Park Avenue, police arrested ex-con David McClain, 25, of Paterson, while seizing a .40-caliber Glock 22, a high-capacity magazine with 15 rounds and 13 hollow-point bullets, Speziale said.

City police also hit Harrison and Carroll streets, arresting two accused dealers: Marquay Cobb, 25, of Paterson, with 287 heroin folds, and Nicole Timpanaro, 19, of Northvale, with 110 heroin folds, the director said.

More than $500 in drug proceeds also was seized, he said.

Marijuana dealers were arrested, as well, Speziale said – among them, 33-year-old Lorenzo Noriega of Paterson, who the director said was nabbed with two jars and a sandwich bag of pot, along with $718 in proceeds on Park Avenue near Paterson Eastside High School.
