Video: John Karagiorgis Of Clifton's Rutt's Hut Dies At 45

CLIFTON, N.J. — John Karagiorgis, a fixture at the popular Clifton hot dog joint Rutt's Hut, died of a massive heart attack Saturday night at the age of 45, NJ.com reports.

The Paramus resident was the son Nicholas Karagiorgis, who took over the 90-year-old restaurant in 1975, according to NJ.com

Rutt's Hut was recently selected by Daily Voice readers as the DVLicious winner for best french fries in Passaic County.

Karagiorgis appeared as an antagonist on season five of the "Real Housewives Of New Jersey," NJ.com reports.

Karagiorgis is survived by his wife and a young son and daughter.
