CLIFTON, N. J. -- Rosemary C. Van Blarcom, a lifelong Clifton resident and 25-year crossing guard, died Nov. 8. She was 85.
Born Rosemary Flick in Passaic, she worked as a crossing guard at the corner of Main and Washington avenues near St. Paul School.
She also was active at St. Paul Roman Catholic Church in Clifton, serving as a contributing member to the Rosary Society.
She was predeceased by her husband, John "Corky" Van Blarcom.
Her survivors inlcude her children, John of Clifton, Lori Huk of Clifton and Diane Zilinek of Center Valley, Pa.; four grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
A Mass is planned for 10 a.m. Saturday at St. Paul R.C. Church, 124 Union Ave. In lieu of flowers, contributions can be made to St. Paul Church.
