Bridgegate Scandal Lands Former Christie Allies In Prison

FORT LEE, N.J. -- Former allies of Gov. Chris Christie were sentenced to prison Wednesday for engineering lane closures in Fort Lee near the George Washington Bridge, multiple news outlets reported.

Bill Baroni was sentenced to two years in prison. Bridget Anne Kelly was sentenced to 18 months.

Bill Baroni, former deputy executive director of the Port Authority of New York and New Jersey, was sentenced to two years in prison and 500 hours of community service, politico.com reported. 

Baroni's conspirator, Bridget Anne Kelly of Ramsey, was sentenced to 18 months in prison, plus a year of probation. Both said they'll file appeals, reports said.

Both were found guilty of closing access lanes to the bridge, politico.com reported.
