CLIFTON, N.J. – Clifton was named among the best 100 cities in the United States to raise children.
The list was compiled by The National Council for Home Safety and Security, a national trade association comprised of licensed alarm installers, contractors, and other relevant trade groups throughout the country.
It is based on factors such as graduation rates, crime rates, health insurance coverage and median income.
Clifton is ranked 93. The only other New Jersey municipality on the list is Toms River, which came in at number 65.
“Depending on your family’s circumstances and flexibility of movement, the cities on the list have the right blend of qualities that allow children to fulfill their potential,” the council’s website states.
