PATERSON, N.J. — There's a secret to good pickles, a third-generation expert from Paterson told customers Wednesday during the opening day at the Rutherford Farmers' Market.
Dr. Pickle, who uses his great-grandfather's recipes, was one of a dozen vendors who welcomed the annual market back to the Williams Center Plaza for summer.
They sell at farmer's markets and events throughout the tri-state area and also online at docpickle.com.
Beginning June 15, the Rutherford Farmers' Market is open from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. on Wednesdays. The market will also operate from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m. on Saturdays starting July 2.
The Rutherford Farmers' Market is part of the "Jersey Fresh" program to promote New Jersey farmers and their produce.
