A Ford Econoline van was traveling north in near mile post 59 in Hamilton Township, when it went off the road to the right, struck the guardrail, reentered the roadway and overturned around 3:30 p.m., NJSP Sgt. Alejandro Goez said.
Four of the 14 occupants were ejected, including 55-year-old Daniel Del Carmen Marmol Batista, of Ridgewood, NY, who died.
The driver, Silvestre Diaz, 33, of Camden, suffered minor injuries, while a 47-year-old female passenger and 19-year-old male passenger sustained serious injuries.
The right and center lanes were closed for about five hours. The accident remains under investigation.
