ELMWOOD PARK, N.J.– Elmwood Park Little League kicked off the 2016 season on Saturday with opening day ceremonies and games at the Borough Field on Boulevard.
As part of the festivities, organizers introduced the dignitaries, sponsors, players, managers, and coaches.
New Jersey Jackals mascot Jack the Jackal was in attendance.
The Sheriff's Department brought along horses, as well.
Concession stands opened after the ceremony.
Kids could go on rides or check out sports memorabilia while a DJ played music to provide a soundtrack for the day.
