ANOTHER SCOOP: A would-be maseusse who advertised on Craigslist was arrested on prostitution charges late this afternoon after she turned away a client who rejected her offer of more than a massage and he went to Saddle Brook police, CLIFFVIEW PILOT has learned.

An undercover detective wearing a wire this afternoon was propositioned for sex after only 15 minutes with Shujie Zheng, who was immediately arrested, along with a man who rented the luxury Mayhill Street apartment she used, Saddle Brook Police Chief Robert Kugler told CLIFFVIEW PILOT.

Police also seized $4,800 in cash believed to be proceeds from the illicit business, as well as a computer and written records — including hundreds of telephone numbers that Kugler said “have become part of an investigation.”

Zheng, 42, ran the operation out of the $2,400-a-month apartment, advertising “Asian Massage Therapy With Personal Care” on Craigslist.com, the chief said.

Appointments were made by telephone for massages at $60 per hour, he said.

After 15 minutes or so, she then solicited “additional money for masturbation,” the chief said.

A customer who thought he was getting a legitimate massage alerted police, saying she ordered him to leave when he didn’t want more, Kugler said.

“She said, ‘I have a line of paying customers waiting’,” he told CLIFFVIEW PILOT.

Detectives set up the sting and made the arrests around 4 this afternoon.

Richard F. Feltz, 68, who rents the apartment, is charged with promoting prostitution. Zheng is charged with prostitution and engaging in an unlicensed business.

“With the ever-increasing everyday use and proliferation of Internet sites such as Craigslist, these type of criminal acts are very common and, at the same time, can be very dangerous to the persons engaging in the transactions, often times leading to assaults, robberies and even homicides,” Kugler warned.
