Residents Awoken As Would-Be Burglars Flee Clifton Home

Sleeping residents of a Clifton home awoke when two men tried to break in overnight Tuesday, police said.

Both were trying to get in through a bathroom window of the Oregon Street home around 1:40 a.m. when they were "scared off by nearby activity," Detective Lt. Robert Bracken said.
