Elmwood Park police nab NY couple with 60 bags of heroin, six of cocaine

YOU READ IT HERE FIRST: Elmwood Park police last night arrested an Orange County, NY couple passing through town who they said were carrying 60 bags of heroin and a half-dozen bags of cocaine.

Joseph Policano, 25, and 44-year-old Tara Shoonmaker were released on court summonses charging them with possession with the intent to distribute drugs after officers stopped them in the parking lot of the Elmwood Park Shopping Center on Broadway, Police Chief Michael Foligno said.
