Elmwood Park Police Bust Home-Grown Pot Operation

ELMWOOD PARK, N.J. -- An Elmwood Park man ran a marijuana-growing operation out of his home before detectives raided it, authorities said Friday.

Diego Pulgarin, 19, was ordered held on $50,000 bail in the Bergen County Jail on various drug charges after the 6:15 p.m. raid Thursday, which Police Chief Michael Foligno said followed a two-month investigation.

Detectives seized three-quarters of a pound of pot, along with various marijuana plants, lamps, fertilizer and $4,200 in drug proceeds, Foligno said.
