John J. Carloni, 91, Of Saddle Brook

SADDLE BROOK, N.J. -- John J. Carloni, 91, of Saddle Brook, died Friday Sept. 9. He was 91. 

He was born in Clifton and was a resident of Saddle Brook since 1927. 

He was a construction supervisor for Ace Builders in Garfield and then Tomac Builders in Franklin Lakes for 35 years, retiring in 1987. 

He was a World War II veteran, serving in the U.S. Army. He was a life member of the Bricklayers & Allied Craftworkers Local Union #34 of New Jersey. He was a member of the Saddle Brook Golden Agers, Saddle Brook A.A.R.P., Quartermaster Assistant Director of the Garfield Cadets Drum and Bugle Corp. 

He was predeceased by his wife Bertha. 

He is survived by his son, John and his wife Barbara; grandchildren, Gina Marie Carloni and Dana Marie Clark; and great-grandchildren, John H. Clark, Thomas G. Clark and Dante G. Carloni De Souza. 

There will be a funeral service at 10 a.m. Tuesday at the Patrick J. Conte Funeral Home Inc., 274 Market St., Elmwood Park. Interment will be at St. Mary’s Cemetery in Saddle Brook. Visiting hours will be from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Monday at the funeral home.
