SADDLE BROOK, N.J. -- Jean M. Posluszny, of Saddle Brook, died Aug. 10. She was 90.
Born April 28, 1926, in Passaic, she was raised in Lodi and Garfield for 35 years before settling in Saddle Brook 55 years ago.
She was a parishioner of both Mt. Virgin Church in Garfield, and St. Philip the Apostle Church in Saddle Brook. She also was an avid bingo player at the Garfield Boys and Girls Club.
She was a retail clerk and shop steward at Two Guys, Garfield for 24 years, and then at Popular Club in Garfield for four years retiring in 1986.
She is survived by a son, John Posluszny and his life partner Kathleen Devlin; daughter, Jean Dangelewicz and husband John; four grandchildren, John and wife Jill, Peter and wife Lori, Lisa and husband Michal and Steven; eight great-grandchildren; sister, Joan Hodum; and her former daughter-in-law, Susan Posluszny.
Visiting will be from 6-9 p.m. Friday at Aloia Funeral Home, 180 Harrison Ave., Garfield. The funeral will be Saturday, arriving at the funeral home at 8 a.m. followed by a 9 a.m. Mass at Our Lady of Mount Virgin Church, 188 MacArthur Ave., Garfield. Interment will be in St. Mary’s Cemetery in Saddle Brook.
Donations can be made in her name to the Alzheimer’s Association.
