The dogs are “the most seriously matted and neglected dogs we have ever seen,” RBARI shared in a Facebook.

“All twelve dogs are in need of medical care and extensive grooming, as some of them are unable to even see or walk due to their severe matting,” the shelter posted.

But, “most are already seeking attention and affection, as if to thank their rescuers,” the post states.

RBARI is seeking donations in order to get the dogs the care they need. To donate funds that will go directly to the needs of the 12 dogs, CLICK HERE.

The shelter was first made aware of the situation by Paterson Animal Control and the Passaic County SPCA, the post states.
