Major Delays Reported Along Route 17 Due To Roadwork In Paramus

Drivers headed into Ridgewood on Route 17 South faced major delays Wednesday, April 30, as roadwork brought traffic to a standstill, officials said.

The left lane between Linwood Avenue and Ridgewood Avenue was shut down for construction, according to local officials.

The lane closure began early Wednesday. As of 11 a.m., major backups were reported in the southbound lanes leading into Ridgewood.

No estimated time was given for when the work would be completed.
