SADDLE BROOK, N.J. -- VFW Post 3484, in Saddle Brook, installed new post officers and officers of the men's and ladies auxiliary on May 14.
The ceremony was videotaped and will air on Our Town TV, Cablevision channel 77, Verizon Fios channel 38. "I want to personally thank the VFW for all their charitable work and assistance they have provided to our community throughout the years," a borough Facebook noted. "Best of luck to Post 3484 for another productive and prosperous year."
The borough also noted, May is National Military Appreciation Month, "which gives all of us the opportunity to publicly demonstrate our gratitude for the sacrifices and successes made by our service members -- past and present."
The local VFW and American Legion are now selling poppies, with the proceeds going toward state and national veterans rehabilitation and service programs.
