Championship Rutherford Little League Baseball, Softball Teams Honored

RUTHERFORD, N.J.– The Rutherford 14U Junior Division girls' softball all-star team recently was recognized by the mayor and council after completing a championship season.

Rutherford's 14U Junior Division All Star Team went 6-0 while winning the District 5 title.

The 10U team completed its season with two titles.

Rutherford went a perfect 6-0 in capturing the Division 5 title. The team finished as the Section 2 runner up.

"We had a dynamic group of girls this year and a great coaching staff," Manager Brian Bagnuolo told Daily Voice. "You could put any girl in any position and they would have got the job done. This team played with heart and when their backs were against the wall they gave it everything they had and never gave up. It was a fun, loose bunch with plenty of laughs along the way."

Kevin Hebert, Anthony Finelli and Kim Beggs were part of the coaching staff.
