EAST RUTHERFORD, N.J. -- With more than a week to go, East Rutherford police had raised $2,150 toward cancer research during No Shave November.
Each officer donated $100 to participate, Police Chief Larry Minda said.
The rest came from donations, he said.
"It's for such a good cause," the chief said.
All of the money raised will go to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital and toward the American Cancer Society's work with colorectal cancer, he said.
The department's goal is $2,500.
