SADDLE BROOK, N.J. – Jean-Marc Norat of Saddle Brook passed away on Oct. 28. He was 24.
Norat, “was a profound, intelligent, compassionate, honorable and loving young man,” according to a GoFundMe page set up to help his family pay for medical bills and student loans he left behind.
Norat was a graduate of Rutgers University and was about to embark on a career in law and law enforcement. He was in the final steps of becoming a member of Homeland Security with the next step to become an Officer with the U.S. Air Force.
His ultimate goal was to complete his law degree in Civil Rights, become a judge and run for political office. “If you asked him why, he would say ‘because someone has to do the right thing! People deserve to be treated equally,’” the GoFundMe page states.
