Route 3 Transformer Fire Knocks Power In Clifton

Traffic was backed up on Route 3 as firefighters worked to put out a transformer fire that knocked power out for hundreds of people in Clifton Saturday.

The PSEG outage map did not have a restoration time for the nearly 700 people without power as of 12:30 p.m.

The three right eastbound lanes were closed with 20 minute delays as of noon, 511nj.org reports.
