A Fair Lawn native who was critically injured trying to rescue a brother firefighter in a blaze in Baltimore has tragically made the ultimate sacrifice. Fire Lt. Dillion Rinaldo succumbed to his injuries Tuesday night, Oct. 24, five days after a rowhouse blaze claimed the life of a fellow smoke eater whom he and his colleagues had gone back in to save. North Jersey Native Critically Injured Fighting Baltimore Fire Sees Community Support
People are coming together to support Dillion Rinaldo, a lieutenant in the Baltimore City Fire Department and a Fair Lawn native, who was seriously injured battling a three-alarm blaze last week. A fundraiser has been launched for Rinaldo and his fiancée, Lauren. As of Tuesday, Oct. 24, more than $73,000 has been raised.
