Wambach is scheduled to sign copies from 6-7 p.m. Sept. 15 at Bookends, 211 E. Ridgewood Ave. Anyone wanting an autograph at Bookends must buy a copy of her book, which is due to be released Sept. 13 by Dey Street Books.
The 240-page book chronicles her beginnings in soccer and her rise as a world-class athlete. The book shows her struggle with all the different roles in her life, and her drive as a competitor, according to goodreads.com.
Wambach, who is retired, became the highest goal scorer at age 35 during the 2015 World Cub run.
