RIDGEWOOD, N.J. -- Graydon Pool -- Ridgewood's open-air pool located off Linwood Avenue -- will be rocking this summer with its first Summer Concert Series. The first show will be on Sunday, June 12.
Kicking off the series will be Ridgewood's own Dads Night Band, composed entirely of dads with kids in the Somerville and Hawes elementary schools. This will be the very last gig for the band's keyboard player and former band leader, Mike Black. He's graduating from the band as his youngest kids now move onto the middle school.
Food will be available -- including cotton candy and snow cones to raise money for the Dads Night scholarship committee -- as well as grills for your own food. "So come and hang out with friends, enjoy some rockin' tunes and take a plunge in Graydon Pool," organizers note.
The event is free for Graydon pool members and $10 at the door for non-members. The show will be from 3-6pm. Nancy Bigos at Ridgewood Recreation is organizing this series, and more bands will follow.
