RIDGEWOOD, N.J. -- Fostering a love of books and reading is the focus of two Ridgewood school programs designed to bring the community together, northjersey.com reports.
Children not only read more with “All School Read-Aloud” and “One School, One Book,” they’re also picking up stories they might have missed, the article says.
The “All School Read-Aloud” program brings students together to hear a book while the pages are displayed on a screen, according to the story.
"One School, One Book" involves students, parents, and every level of staff kids interact with, reading the same book for about 15 minutes a night. The goal is to give everyone something similar to discuss, the article says.
