1 Bergen School Hits 100 Percent Graduation Rate As NJ Up Near 90

New Jersey can stand proud among schools across the nation with a near-90 percent graduation rate, one of the highest in the country, reports njspotlight.com.

Bergen County Technical School in Teterboro is the only Bergen County school to have a 100 percent graduation rate in 2015. The school is a four-year, tuition-free public magnet high school.

Passaic had two schools in Paterson with 100 percent graduation rates: Harp Academy and Rosa Parks Arts School, according to a njspotlight.com chart.

Wealthier districts fared best but minorities and those from low-income families surpassed 80 percent graduation rates for the first time, according to njspotlight.com.

Big differences between individual schools fall along socio-economic lines, with the state’s largest cities, like Newark’s Barringer High School, having a graduation rate of only 35 percent, reports njspotlight.com.
