RIDGEWOOD, N.J. -- Ridgewood police were conducting a tactical exercise with a Bergen County Regional SWAT unit on Thursday in Habernickel Park.
The exercises are conducted countywide to help local police and SWAT members coordinate potential responses to emergencies.
Officers are in tactical uniforms and no live weapons are used during the exercise.
The county's regional SWAT teams are made up of police from various municipalities, the Bergen County Sheriff's Office and the county prosecutor's office.
