Car slams into tree in Ridgewood during snow squall

YOU SAW IT HERE FIRST: The morning snow squall victimized at least driver, whose sub-compact skidded off the roadway and slammed into a tree in Ridgewood.

The woman was taken to The Valley Hospital with injuries that weren’t considered life-threatening after her Ford coupe crashed on East Ridgewood Avenue near Walthery Avenue around 11:45 a.m.

Ridgewood firefighters attended to a minor fluid spill as village police investigated.

Traffic on westbound East Ridgewood Avenue was slowed until the vehicle could be removed by a flatbed tow truck.
