JERSEY CITY, N.J. -- Winifred T. (Saitta) Dunn, 59, of Jersey City, died of ALS, commonly known as Lou Gehrig's disease, May 19, 2016.
She was born Nov. 12, 1956 at Lennox Hill Hospital in New York City, to Mary Saitta and the late Paul Saitta.
She grew up in East Williston, N.Y. and attended Our Lady of Mercy High School and Marist College, where she met her husband of 36 years, William Gerard Dunn.
Dunn spent 30 years working at ABC in television production for shows like "One Life to Live," "The City," "Good Morning America" and "20/20." Most recently, she worked at her passion of fitness as a barre instructor at Vitality Fitness in Ridgewood and in other studios in northern New Jersey.
She is survived by her two daughters, Casey and Taylo; son, Billy Jr.; and her loving and supportive husband, Billy Sr.
Dunn, aka Big Mama, will be remembered for always having a smile on her face and projecting positive energy to those around her.
Her funeral is at 9 a.m. Monday at Feeney Funeral Home, 232 Franklin Ave., Ridgewood and 10 a.m. at Our Lady of Mt. Carmel RC Church, Ridgewood. Interment will be in Maryrest Cemetery, Mahwah.
