Mancini was born in Mount Kisco but grew up in Somers, graduating from Somers High School.

He was working as a telecom systems engineer in Philadelphia at the time of his death.

Mancini had attended SUNY IT, now known as SUNY Polytechnic Institute, in Utica before moving to Syracuse.

He later accepted a job with a telecommunications business in Philadelphia, where, his family says, he “quickly became a rising star and go-to for his company.”

Mancini was also described as a “gentle, kind, and genuinely compassionate person” who was always looking out for others.

He is survived by his parents, Heidi and Michael Mancini, Sr.; his grandmother, Doris McCormick; his grandfather, Anthony Mancini; sisters Melissa and Meghan; a brother, Michael Mancini, Jr; many aunts and uncles; and dozens of cousins.

Memorial services will be held from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m. and 7 p.m. to 9 p.m. Sunday, April 2, at Clark and Associates Funeral Home, 4 Woods Bridge Road, Katonah.

In lieu of flowers, the family is asking that donations be made to the American Sleep Apnea Association.
